Just wondering..

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

You know how there is an Islamic organization that is giving out free copies of the quran to hotels and stuff, well some people think that its a bad idea because of the whole "burn a quran day" and that people could burn/ruin the quran and that you should only give the quran to someone that you are sure of and are sure they will use it properly... but i think its a great idea because you cant reach all the genuinely interested people like hotels, hospitals, etc. can... so what do you think?

Also how are you guys doing so far in Ramadan?

Salamo Aleikom Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu

I don't think it's a good idea that we put the Book of Allah at risk like that. But as I saw some people commenting lately about this matter, i have my own opinion: the person that started all of that "Burn Qur'an Day" talk, is willing to purchase Qur'ans, giving money to the Muslims (and his followers will do the same), and burn a Book that can be easily put up again even if all the written Qur'an was out of sight. That person forgets that more than millions of Muslims memorized the whole Qur'an, and many other memorized entire suraat from it. It's a dumb idea. I'm sure if all the Bibles were burnt, no Christian could bring that literature back again, subhanAllah.

Alhamdulilah, there's no way Islam is going down, as it was promised to us by Allah (swt).

Ramadan is going fine here in Egypt, alhamdulilah. How are you doing?

Hugs,
Salam

I think its a good idea and anyways they are probably handing out translation not the mushaf right? If people do decide to destroy it its between them and Allah I don't think you are enabling them becuase your intention would be for dawah.

Hmm, the English translated ones without the Arabic writing would be fine because I don't think non Muslims would know the proper etiquette of handling the Holy Qur'an.

Asalamu Alaikum,

Why do they want to hand out copies of the Qur'an? Why are they treating our book as if its a pamphlet. This is the Holy Qur'an. The words of Allah swt should be treated with upmost respect. Handing it out for free to disbelivers? WHAT?? To touch the Qur'an you have to be in the state of Wudu.. how are you going to hand it to someone who doesnt even know what wudu is?

And why are they so concerned about reaching people in hotels anyway? Its not like they are broke and cant afford to buy their own copy. Anyone whos sincerely interested in reading the Qur'an can find their own means. We dont need to start handing out our Qur'an in order to reach them. They should seek Islam not the other way around.

Sorry this sounded like an absolute rant but when I read Qur'an and handed out I completely had steem blowing out of my ears.
