Dieing in a State of Tawheed and the Golden Rule

I get a hadith sent to me every friday, and this was today's hadith.

here's the hadith:

'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As radiyAllahu 'anhu said:

The Messenger of Allah salAllahu alayhi wa-salaam said, "He who desires to be rescued from the fire of Hell and to enter Jannah, should die in a state of complete belief in Allah and the Last Day, and should do unto others what he wishes to be done unto him."

Who's excited about Ramadan!!!!!

I've never been so excited about something my whole life!

Ramadan has always been just the time where we fast before eid!!!! lol

But now? AlhamduLilah I'm soo exited, I just can't wait!!!

do i sound like a 3 year old?

Really tho its soo exciting!

Also I'm not only fasting from food and water from sunset to sunrise, I'm also going to fast from my computer, and makeup. Ever since last Ramadan i have been on my computer every single day! Almost all day! just getting up to pray, eat, etc. and i really need a freakin break! So I'm not gonna be blogging during Ramadan unless its something reallyyyyy worth it, inshaAllah!

So i just wanted to wish you all a happy Ramadan filled with blessings and great accomplishments you'll be proud of the rest of your life, inshaAllah.

I also wanted to share a few things with you.

"Every action of the son of Adam is given manifold reward, each good deed receiving then times its like, up to seven hundred times. Allah the Most High said, 'Except for fasting, for it is for Me and I will give recompense for it, he leaves off his desires and his food for Me.' for the fasting person there are two times of joy; a time when he breaks his fast and a time of joy when he meets his Lord, and the smell coming from the mouth of the fasting person is better with Allah than the smell of musk." [Bukhari]

"The man who keeps a fast in full faith and for a reward in the world hereafter, will be forgiven his past sins. And the man who prays in the night during Ramadan with faith for reward in the world hereafter, will be forgiven all his past sins."

What if your thoughts were on display?

Asalamu Alaikum everyone, so i was watching a arabic t.v series the other day and there were two girls gossiping about another girl in their college, and then later on, in another t.v series a group of friends were being very judgmental to another friend, and they thought the worst of his actions rather than thinking there may be another side of the story,  so i was thinking how that always happens in real life, from Muslims, and non-Muslims alike,  and i know that some of us don't mean to do it, and find ourselves saying something without meaning to, or automatically thinking the worst, but the sad thing is if our thoughts were on display, meaning that anything you think or say everyone can hear we would be so much more careful.

But what about Allah swt.

Doesn't he matter?

Shouldn't he be all that matters?

subhanAllah, sometimes we forget that Allah is always there watching us and that we should be thinking the best of others, and never gossip, or backbite.

Just something to think about.

Just a reminder.

To myself before anyone else.

"Backbiting is to say something about someone they wouldn't like said about them....If what bad you said about them is true, then you have backbited and if it is false then you have slandered them." [MUSLIM]

O you who believe, you shall avoid any suspicion, for even a little bit of suspicion is sinful. You shall not spy on one another, nor shall you backbite one another; this is as abominable as eating the flesh of your dead brother. You certainly abhor this. You shall observe GOD. GOD is Redeemer, Most Merciful. [Quran 49:12]

We're nothing without Allah swt.

I read this here and thought i couldn't possibly keep this for myself only, this has opened my eyes just a bit more, and reminded me i'm nothing without Allah swt.

"My servants, all of you are astray except for those I have guided, so seek guidance of Me and I shall guide you, O My servants, all of you are hungry except for those I have fed, so seek food of Me and I shall feed you. O My servants, all of you are naked except for those I have clothed, so seek clothing of Me and I shall clothe you. O My servants, you sin by night and by day, and I forgive all sins, so seek forgiveness of Me and I shall forgive you. O My servants, you will not attain harming Me so as to harm Me, and will not attain benefitting Me so as to benefit Me. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as pious as the most pious heart of any one man of you, that would not increase My kingdom in anything. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as wicked as the most wicked heart of any one man of you, that would not decrease My kingdom in anything. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to rise up in one place and make a request of Me, and were I to give everyone what he requested, that would not decrease what I have, any more that a needle decreases the sea if put into it. O My servants, it is but your deeds that I reckon up for you and then recompense you for, so let him who finds good praise Allah and let him who finds other that blame no one but himself." [Related by Muslim, at-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah]

Birrul Walidain (obeying ones parents)

Today i was watching a tv show on the arabic dish/cable and they were talking to a 80-something year old mother to 1 boy and 1 girl. They used to all live a normal life, just like any other family in Egypt, untill her husband died. This happend about 37 years ago, they needed money to at least get something to eat, so what to do, what to do.... she starts working as a maid, a cleaning lady, going to peoples houses and cleaning, cooking, etc. to be able to raise her children. To be able to give them food, shelter, and a good education. May Allah swt reward her for all she's done, now fast forward 37 years later.......

Shes a blind, old, helpless lady living with her son, and his wife and kids. You'd think after all she's done for him and his sister. After all she's been thru for them, he would take care of her and do every little thing he could for her, after all isn't Jannah lie under the feet of your mother? Well guess wat...thats not wat happened. While this man was gone his wife and daughter hit his mother! HIT HIS MOTHER! when he came home his mother told him of what happened and left the house, so wat does he do? he lets her go....just as if he was waiting for this day. Astaghfirullah! wtf is wrong with this guy?? what next, his mother starts to sell tissue paper in the streets. His blind mother sits down every day at the side of the street, all day waiting for people to feel bad and come buy a box of tissues, and after a long hard day in the sun, she gets about 7 dollers, just enough for her to get something to eat and go back to her little room that she lives in (not sure how she got it because i didnt watch that part). AlhamduLilah this tv show/program found her to help her out. They told her, her son is watching and what does she want to tell him, and she said "May Allah swt forgive him for what he did to me" well this is the literal meaning but its mostly said to mean "May Allah swt deal with him". Anyways the tv show will bring her to a good docter to check on her eyes and take care of all the expenses inshAllah, mashAllah! But whats wrong with people these days?


 Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-`as (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "(Of the) major sins are: to ascribe partners to Allah, disobey parents, murder someone, and to take a false oath (intentionally)". [Al-Bukhari]

And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word.And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, "My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small." [Al Quran- 17:23-24]

May Allah swt guide the ummah, Ameen.

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that Prophet Muhammad  said, “There are two types among the people of Hell whom I have not yet seen. The first are people who have whips like the tails of oxen, with which they beat people, and the second are women who are naked in spite of being dressed; they will be led astray and will lead others astray, and their heads will look like camels humps. These women will not enter Paradise; they will not even experience the faintest scent of it, even though the fragrance of Paradise can be perceived from such a great distance.”

May Allah swt guide the ummah.

Never a believer is stricken with a discomfort, an illness, an anxiety, a grief or mental worry or even the pricking of a thorn but Allah will expiate his sins on account of his patience.

In the steps of RasulAllah (saw)-- backbiting, slander, lying, other Muslims.

Allah's messenger (SWS) said, "A Muslim has six duties towards another Muslim: when you meet him, salute him; when he invites you, accept it; when he asks your advice, give it to him; when he sneezes and praises Allah say "May Allah have mercy on you"; when he is ill, visit him; and when he dies follow his funeral" [Reported by Muslim]

The Prophet (saw) was sitting with his companions one day and one of them was speaking badly about someone who wasn't there. As the man got up to leave the Prophet (saw) said to him: "Pick Your Teeth!" "But I haven't eaten anything." The man protested. "No" the Prophet (saw) said"YOU HAVE EATEN THE FLESH OF YOUR DEAD BROTHER".

The Prophet (saw) described: "On the night of mirage I passed by some people who had metal hooks in their hands and were clawing at their faces and their necks with them. I asked Gabriel 'Who were these people?' He said 'These are the people who eat the flesh of human beings and disgrace them' (Abu Dawud).

The Prophet (saw) said that "Abusing a Muslim is a sin and fighting with him is disbelief." (MUSLIM).

A man came to the Prophet (saw) one day and said "Advise me". The prophet (saw) said "Don't become angry. Don't become angry. Don't become angry"....

The Prophet (saw) was once asked "Can a Muslim be a coward?" He (saw) replied "Yes." and then asked "Can a Muslim be a miser?" and the reply was "Yes." The Prophet (saw) was then asked "Can a Muslim be a liar?" The Prophet (saw) replied "NO! A Muslim can never be a liar".

"Truth leads to virtue and virtue leads to paradise...Lying leads to wickedness and wickedness leads to the hellfire." (Bukhari)

 The Prophet (saw) said "When a person gets up in the morning, all the parts of his body make a plea to his tongue saying; 'Fear Allah regarding us, because we follow you. If you are right then we shall also be right , and if you are wrong then we shall also be wrong." (Tirmidhi)

The Prophet (saw) said "Whoever can guarantee me two things I can guarantee them Paradise." The companions asked "What O Messenger of Allah?" He replied "What is between his jaws (his tongue) and his legs (private parts)." (Bukhari)

Ayesha (RA) the Prophet's wife described the Prophets conduct as follows "He was neither a obscene talker nor a user of bad words. He did not shout nor did he repay evil with evil. He used to forgive people and overlook their sins." (Tirmidhi)

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said"Whoever believes in Allah and the Last day, LET HIM EITHER SPEAK GOOD OR KEEP SILENT"
